In a bid to add a lighter touch to Ghana’s 59th Independence Day anniversary parade at the Black Star Square in Accra, some popular Ghanaian comedy actors performed a skit as Police officers from the colonial era.
The actors, led by Papa Nii Papa Fio also known as Oesophagus included, Agya Koo, Kyeiwaa, Kwaku Manu, Mr. Beautiful among others.
President John Dramani Mahama and his main contender in the November general elections, Nana Akufo-Addo of the opposition New Patriotic Party, (NPP), have different views about the canker of corruption in Ghana.
The President, during the State of the Nation Address last Thursday, described corruption as a “disease, which if left unchecked can choke and kill a nation.”
He among other things explained how his government is fighting corruption.
President John Dramani Mahama was in Parliament on Thursday February 25, 2016, to deliver the State of the Nation Address.
Among the many sectors he spoke about, he enumerated a number of interventions and projects carried out by government to improve the country’s health sector.
